moving places

moving places is about being present there and then. going to a place, I make music there, then dance to that music at that place and time. it is a sonic and embdied interpretation of a place. it is an inherently subjective search for presence in a weird world

veerkracht / resilience

this project was inspired by the silent drum as created by jamie oliver. it was like a reversed, oversized version of that. a dancer (or even two dancers) fits inside and can cause sounds to be generated in realtime through manipulation of the fabric. the piece was "veerkracht", which is Dutch for resilience

slightly slower

project, 2014

this video was made for the video contest of the freiburg ci festival. it is a visual interpretation of contact improv through video and technology. the video was rendered based on video input after recordings were made. later, I developed the software so it could run in realtime. I am (in 2024) still considering to put it use in some project...
